Hi,
A little about my self, and why I write this stuff.
I am Ronny Soltveit and live outside the oil capital of Norway, Stavanger. Born in 1975, and been working for the last 21 years. I started first with ABB Robotics, where I spent 12 years of my life working with robotic systems for the automotive paint industry. I was lucky enough to get involved in various stages of production and testing. I was only 18 years old when I joined ABB and very interesting for a young technological soul.
My next job was with Fugro, where we did weather monitoring systems for the oil industry. Basically, everything they need to be able to report the weather to allow helicopter landings, and more. We monitored the wind, temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, waves, rig motion, cloud height, and visibility.
My current job is with SystemAir. We do heating, ventilation and air condition systems. Both for the industry and private sector. My position is a Sales Consultant. Not too technical compared to my previous positions. But still challenging and rewarding.
One of my hobbies is to create casual arcade games for mobiles. You can find most of it on my site corenety. Or you can check out my apps on Apple App Store and Google Play.
The articles on my site here are mostly questions I got from friends, family, myself self and some of my own notes to remember. I tried to be as short and precise as possible, and still be able to explain briefly what’s going on and why.
I see several of the articles is found by users via google. And if you find something that helps you out, or being incorrect for that matter, don’t be too shy to leave a comment. Ideas are also greatly appreciated. It would be a nice change from all the pharmaceutical spam I need to filter. đ
I have an education within engineering, but most of the stuff I do now is self-taught.
What do I like to do in my spare time?
Well, I like to play around with:
- C# Programming
- Unity
- Swift Programming
- MySQL
Virtualisation (KVM / Virtual Box)- Linux (Debian / Kali / Ubuntu / Raspbian)
MacOS - Arduino
- Sensors
- Communication
- Photography

- And a whole lot of other things
